This moved me beyond words. It’s like you were in my childhood, with me as I went to “THELMA’S BEAUTY SALON” in Westmoreland, TN with my grandma in my adopted family. This was a Saturday morning ritual, and she was the only kind and loving person to me in that adopted situation. I was immediately taken back, years ago, on a morning outing with her to the salon. The colors, movement of the figures, I could literally smell the spray, shampoos, heating tools, the entire experience. POWERFUL. J Gann
